Thiên Hậu Cổ Miếu (Miếu Bà Thiên Hậu – Bạc Liêu)

Thiên Hậu Cổ Miếu hay còn gọi là Miếu Bà Thiên Hậu, tọa lạc tại Hai Bà Trưng, Phường 3, thành phố Bạc Liêu, tỉnh Bạc Liêu. Nơi đây là một trong những ngôi miếu người Hoa lớn nhất và lâu đời nhất của tỉnh Bạc Liêu.

Lược sử

Cùng với tiến trình di dân của người Hoa đến Việt Nam, một số tín ngưỡng dân gian của người Trung Quốc cũng có mặt tại vùng đất mới và tồn tại với một ý nghĩa tâm linh hết sức quan trọng trong đời sống xã hội của cộng đồng. Người Hoa thờ nhiều vị thiên thần và nhân thần. Trong các vị nhân thần được người Hoa ở Bạc Liêu thờ phụng, có Bà Thiên Hậu, một vị thần được sùng kính như một Quan Am Nữ đối với người Việt. Tục thờ Thiên Hậu có nguồn gốc từ Trung Quốc với lễ hội “Mã Tổ” như một dịp Tết cổ truyền của người dân ven biển. Tết “Mã Tổ” là tết mang màu sắc lễ hội cầu ngư của cư dân người Hán ở Quảng Đông sống ở vùng duyên hải Phúc Kiến và Đài Loan. Tết diễn ra vào ngày 23 tháng 3 Âm lịch.

Ngôi miếu thờ bà “Thiên Hậu thánh mẫu”, với diện tích 2.028,49m², được xây dựng vào khoảng giữa thế kỷ XIX bằng cây lá đơn sơ. Năm 1963, miếu được kiến tạo lại bằng vật liệu bền vững, tồn tại cho đến nay chỉ qua một lần trùng tu vào năm 2001.

Ngày 21/03/2008 Thiên Hậu cổ miếu được UBND Bạc Liêu công nhận là Di tích kiến trúc nghệ thuật cấp tỉnh.

Kiến trúc

Ngôi miếu mang lối kiến trúc cổ xưa độc đáo của người Hoa, mặt chính miếu được xây dựng quay về hướng Nam bao gồm các công trình: chính điện, đông lang, tây lang, sân miếu và hoa viên Trúc lâm. Năm bộ phận này được bố trí một cách hài hòa hợp với ngũ hành phong thủy. Kiến trúc chính điện và các hoa văn trang trí bên trong thể hiện một trình độ điêu khắc đỉnh cao và giàu giá trị thẩm mỹ, nghệ thuật.

Lễ hội

Hàng năm, Thiên Hậu Cổ Miếu tổ chức các lễ hội thu hút đông đảo nhân dân địa phương và các nơi khác đến tham dự như lễ Kỳ yên (vào các đêm 15, 16, 17 tháng Chạp âm lịch) và vía Bà Thiên Hậu (ngày 23/3 âm lịch). Đặc biệt vào những dịp này, các gánh hát bội cũng tụ họp về phục vụ bà con miễn phí.

Thien Hau Ancient Pagoda, also known as Thien Hau Temple, is located at Hai Ba Trung Street, Ward 3, Bac Lieu City, Bac Lieu Province. This is one of the largest and oldest temples of the Chinese people in the province.

The history of the temple is closely linked to the migration process of the Chinese to Vietnam. The beliefs and folk traditions of the Chinese have existed and developed an important role in the social life of the community in this new land. Among the deities worshiped, Thien Hau is revered by the Chinese in Bac Lieu as a symbol of compassion, similar to Quan Am in Vietnamese culture.

The “Ma Zu” festival is a traditional occasion for coastal residents, originating from China, taking place on the 23rd day of the 3rd lunar month. Thien Hau Temple, with an area of ​​2,028.49m², was built around the mid-19th century and underwent a reconstruction process in 1963. On March 21, 2008, the People’s Committee of Bac Lieu recognized Thien Hau Ancient Pagoda as a provincial-level architectural monument.

In terms of architecture, the temple bears the ancient style of the Chinese people, with main structures such as the main hall, east and west wing halls, temple courtyard, and bamboo garden arranged harmoniously, reflecting the five elements of Feng Shui. The decorative motifs inside the main hall demonstrate exquisite carving and high artistry.

Every year, Thien Hau Ancient Pagoda organizes autumn festivals attracting a large number of local people and tourists from afar, such as the Ky Yen festival on the 15th, 16th, and 17th nights of the lunar December and Thien Hau’s memorial day on the 23rd day of the 3rd lunar month. On these occasions, opera troupes also gather to perform free of charge for the community.

Le Temple Antique Thien Hau, également connu sous le nom de Temple Thien Hau, est situé à la rue Hai Ba Trung, Quartier 3, ville de Bac Lieu, province de Bac Lieu. C’est l’un des plus grands et des plus anciens temples du peuple chinois dans la province.

L’histoire du temple est étroitement liée au processus de migration des Chinois au Vietnam. Les croyances et les traditions populaires des Chinois ont existé et ont joué un rôle important dans la vie sociale de la communauté dans ce nouveau pays. Parmi les divinités vénérées, Thien Hau est vénérée par les Chinois de Bac Lieu comme un symbole de compassion, similaire à Quan Am dans la culture vietnamienne.

Le festival “Ma Zu” est une occasion traditionnelle pour les résidents côtiers, originaire de Chine, se déroulant le 23ème jour du 3ème mois lunaire. Chaque année, le Temple Antique Thien Hau organise des festivals d’automne attirant un grand nombre de personnes locales et de touristes de loin, tels que le festival Ky Yen les 15, 16 et 17 nuits du mois lunaire de décembre et le jour commémoratif de Thien Hau le 23ème jour du 3ème mois lunaire. À ces occasions, des troupes d’opéra se réunissent également pour se produire gratuitement pour la communauté.
